  • The many benefits of a NWAAAE Membership:
  • Networking:  The Northwest Chapter has over 300 members representing 50 airports and over 60 corporations in 14 states/territories - that's a lot of friends in the industry!  And your hard copy or online membership directory make them just a phone call or an email away.
  • Saving money:  Northwest Chapter members receive a discount of $50 to $125 on conferences sponsored or co-sponsored by the Chapter.
  • Leadership:  Gain valuable leadership skills by becoming involved with the Northwest Chapter by joining any of the many Chapter committees or being nominated for a Board position.  For those that want to be involved at the national level with AAAE, becoming involved at the Chapter level is an important step that will gain you the experience and backing you need to achieve this goal.
  • Professional development incentives:  If you've been a member for over a year and achieve your A.A.E., the Chapter will give you $250 cash plus a paid registration to the next Chapter Annual Conference.  The Chapter has also started a program to reimburse the cost of tuition for AAAE ACE courses to individuals that have been members for over a year.
  • Scholarships:  Whether to students pursuing degrees in aviation (Jim Morasch / Jerry Olson Memorial Scholarships) or Chapter members or their dependents pursuing a degree in a course of study allied with the airport management profession (Allied Professions Scholarship) the Northwest Chapter is a strong support of academics. Plus, to be eligible for AAAE's annual scholarships you must be a member of a regional chapter.
  • Internships:  Annually the Chapter provides funding to member airports for the support of internship programs that provide valuable experience to the next generation of airport leaders.

Membership Types

Individuals affiliated with airports compromise the largest membership base for the Northwest Chapter. Employees and managers of airports are encouraged to apply.
  • Corporate
Individual representatives of companies and corporations, either public or private, usually with a product or service of interest to airport management, who wish to participate in NWAAAE activities and further their contacts with the airport management profession.
  • Student
Now students can join NWAAAE and experience the many benefits of full-fledged Northwest Chapter Membership at a discounted rate. If you are enrolled in an aviation-related curriculum at the undergraduate or graduate level, you are encouraged to join.
  • Emeritus
The emeritus designation is reserved for past board chairs, although sometimes it is given to esteemed past board members, such as founders, or the founder if s/he is "moving on" from active involvement with the organization. The person is usually (but not always) "of a certain age."
